Can I meet you at your garage (with my car)?
Reserve here to meet at the Certosa Exit
If you use our regular Reservation Form we will not know to meet you at the Certosa Exit.
Map and Directions to Certosa
Yes, you can meet us near our garage. We can meet at the Certosa Exit off the A1 highway. There is a roundabout there. This is also where the Firenze-Siena highway ("superstrada") starts. We are easy to spot because we drive a large nine-passenger van.

For driving directions to the Certosa Exit see:  www.viamichelin.com. Use the following address as the destination.

Address, station...:  Via Cassia, 57
Postcode, city, area...:  50023 Impruneta
Country:  Italy

For GPS Navigators use the following Latitude and Longitude coordinates:
N 43°43.195'
E 11°13.410'

There isn't parking along the roundabout. However, it is possible to safely pull over on one side. We can meet you there at 10:15 am. You can then just follow us with your car to our garage.

Can I park my car all day at the meeting place?
Parking in Florence is terrible. You will not be able to park at the pickup place. If you have your own car we suggest that you follow the van to our garage and park there. It is a 25 minute drive (9 miles/15 km).

Can you pick us up at our hotel or rental villa?
We can't pick you up where you are staying. You will need to walk down to the Ponte Vespucci bridge (10-minute walk from the train station).

Can I pay by credit card?
We cannot accept credit cards. We can only accept cash.

Is there a student discount?
We have decided to keep the same low price for everyone.

Is there a children's discount?
We are sorry, but we do not offer a children's discount.

Is there a discount if I drive myself, not taking your van?
We cannot offer you a discount if you drive yourself to our garage.

Is there a discount if I bring my own bike?
We cannot offer a discount if you bring your own bike.

How hard is the bike ride?
The ride is 12 miles (20 kilometers) long. The bicycles all have 21 speeds with extra low gears for hill climbing. There is a gradual two-kilometer hill after lunch which can always be walked if you prefer. You can ride at your own pace. We stop frequently for breaks and photographs. The tour is not an athletic event and you do not have to be an athlete to complete the ride. Elevation Profile

What if it rains?
If it is raining at 10:00 am (our pickup time) we will take you by van to the winery and lunch. If the rain stops at any point we will get the bikes and do the ride. If we finish lunch and the rain hasn't stopped we discount the tour by 10 Euro and take you back to Florence. You don't pay a deposit to reserve a tour. On a rainy day if you choose not to go to the winery and lunch there is no deposit to refund.

What should I wear?
You don't need any particular gear for our ride. We will provide helmets for your safety. We encourage you to wear running shoes or tennis shoes rather than open sandals. On cooler days bring a sweatshirt or light jacket. Extra clothes can always be left in the van. We suggest you use sunscreen on bright sunny days.
